Pedestrian Street at night
Li Hongzhang's former residence, once housing Li and his family, was built in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The doorway layout is neat and carefully decorated and sculpted with Chinese style, adding to a cultural flavor for the pedestrian street.
Tradition and fashion collide on the street. Cuozaoshan Lane and Beiyoufang Lane of the pedestrian streets, have traditional Hui-School eaves and tiles, wood grain and stone brick elements, which are imbued with the Anhui-style lingering charm. Some traditional and creative displays are presented here: hand-painted murals, winding process techniques, metal art installations, bronze technology and so on. "Lu Xiaopang" (Little fatty boy mascot representing Hefei) is most popular throughout the lane.

The Qinglao Lane under the Neon Lights
There are various kinds of scenic spots in this block: ancient crossbow platform, Qinlao Alley, Hefei Huancheng Park and so on.
Poetry Bar, midnight snack stall, all kinds of shops… all these together featured this street. In the bar, people talk from poetry to art while drinking, tasting different flavors of life. But art is not the only thing on Huaihe Road at night. People aresatisfied in the soul from the bar, but still hungry for mortal food. Luzhou Roast Duck restaurant, Liu Hongsheng Dumpling Noodle Shop (the old shop) and Geng Fuxing being the three "China Time-honored Brand", as well as the Beaufort Luzhou restaurant and the Luzhou Madam Gourmet Kitchen, you won’t miss them in the pedestrian street.

Various Snacks Sold in the Lane
This street developed from the "Cross Street" where merchants went back and forth in the Tang and Song Dynasties, to the "Back Boulevard" full of shops along its sides in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and to the "Huaihe Road Pedestrian Street" of today. One can’t neglect the historical change of this street if he or she wants to study the rise and fall of the city Hefei. Three cultures blend and coexist here: the cultures of the Three Kingdoms represented by the ancient battlefields of Xiaoyaojin and the ancient crossbow platform, the Huaihe military culture represented by the former residence of Li Hongzhang, and the performing arts culture represented by the Jianghuai Grand Theatre. All these cultures and various tourist activities with rich content form a different yet young pedestrian street.
